Nowadays we
can produce electricity from sewage. In the future, the waste water from your
sink, bathtub, and toilet may do more than just go down the drain. It may
become a source of electricity tomorrow. The bacteria naturally generate electrons as they break down
organic materials. A fuel cell siphons off these electrons to create an
electric current.
A fuel cell powered
by naturally occurring bacteria has successfully converted 13 per cent of the
energy in sewage to electricity – and cleaned the waste water at the same time.
It's hoped genetic engineering could make this much more efficient.
oh,what a nice copy from me
ReplyDeleteHey i didn't copied u. Ur r a greedy fellow
DeleteHey you are thinking only the waste water from Sink, bathtub, toilet etc.. we can able to produce electricity. But in this blog i forgot to write about solid wastes such as vegetable & fruit waste, manures form living creatures, fiber waste, even plastic waste also. Sorry for missing this test in the blog

ReplyDeleteIts a good idea.. but as per our practical life its very complicated. As this blog is trying to convey that wastes can produce electricity. That wastes are actually called as biomass . As biomass is obtained it is widely used for all purposes. As because it has many benefits it can't be used as it also has many disadvantages.Inefficient as Compared to Fossil Fuels is the main conflict of this energy.Secondly, Harmful to Environment : using biomass waste to power engines may save on carbon dioxide emissions, but it increases methane gases, which are also harmful to the Earth’s— ozone layer. So really, we are no better off environmentally for using one or the other. So, this idea is naturally good but as per our practical life it is more complicated..
ReplyDeleteVastavam than.
